I was grateful that morning to watch the mist settle over the bay without completely swallowing the bridge, giving me exactly what I had hoped for: that unmistakable, iconic San Francisco atmosphere while still allowing the illuminated suspension cables to emerge beautifully through the haze.
The city beyond remained subdued beneath the early morning mist, while the bridge stretched across the bay like a ribbon of light. Everything felt still, softened by fog and the cool violet and blue tones that exist only in those fleeting minutes before sunrise.
