Veins of the Tide
Anchorage, Alaska
From above, the boundary between land and sea is no longer a line. It is a slow, beautiful surrender.
I photographed this aerial landscape with my drone over Anchorage, Alaska, where the vast tidal flats reach toward the cold blue waters beyond. Below me, channels carved by the movement of the tides wandered through the earth like veins, carrying the landscape toward an almost endless horizon.
What captivated me was the transition. Dark, textured earth gradually gives way to luminous turquoise water, while distant mountains and an immense Alaskan sky frame the scene. There is no definitive place where one world ends and the other begins.
Veins of the Tide is part of my When the Land Meets the Sea collection, a continuing study of those extraordinary places where earth and water shape one another. From the air, that relationship becomes something entirely different: abstract, expansive and almost otherworldly.
Created from original drone photography in Anchorage, Alaska, this fine art aerial landscape brings the wild beauty of Alaska, coastal blue tones and the serenity of the sea into contemporary interiors and luxury spaces.
