We were driving through the middle of Namibia, surrounded by a rugged mountain range and miles of untamed desert silence, when the moon began rising rapidly over the horizon. I knew immediately that I had only moments to capture it. I rushed out of the vehicle, set up my tripod as quickly as I could, and framed the scene before the moon climbed too high.
