There are photographs you plan for… and then there are the ones that quietly change the course of your life.

I created this image while traveling through the extraordinary landscapes of Namibia. Standing alone beneath an endless African sky, I found myself completely captivated by the scale, silence, and raw beauty of one of the oldest deserts on Earth. In that single moment, everything changed.

Until then, my career had been built around photographing people. This photograph awakened something entirely new. It became the beginning of my journey into fine art landscape photography and ultimately led to the creation of SLG.art. For that reason, this image has always carried a special name in my heart: The One.
