The Road Ahead

Forrest Gump Point, Monument Valley, Utah

Open Edition

Some journeys aren't meant to end.

In the iconic film Forrest Gump, Tom Hanks' character stops running on this very stretch of highway overlooking Monument Valley. After crossing America on foot, he simply decides he's finished. He turns around and heads home.

I've always loved that scene. But standing here, looking down this endless ribbon of asphalt toward the towering sandstone monuments, I found myself thinking about something entirely different.

My journey isn't finished. Not even close.

The road ahead represents everything I've experienced, everything I've overcome, and everything I have yet to discover. Like so many of us, I've encountered unexpected turns, difficult climbs, and moments when the destination seemed impossibly far away. But I've learned that the journey itself is where our greatest stories are written.

As the desert sky erupted into extraordinary shades of crimson, gold, and violet, I captured this remarkable stretch of American highway disappearing into one of the most recognizable landscapes in the world.

There is something deeply symbolic about a road that appears to have no end. It reminds us that our past may shape us, but it doesn't have to define where we're going.

We all have a road ahead of us. Different destinations. Different dreams. Different challenges.

And sometimes, the most important decision we make is simply to keep moving.

Because the only way forward is forward.

The Road Ahead is my tribute to perseverance, possibility, and the extraordinary journey of life.
